Description:

Tom Petty Signed Rickenbacker 360 Guitar
This Rickenbacker 360 guitar was one of four signed by Tom Petty for a Warner Brothers Records promotion. The guitar was signed in the presence of a Warner Brothers staffer who had been dispatched to the Los Angeles studio where Petty was putting the finishing touches on "Echo," which would be released in April 1999. Petty joked while signing the guitars that he was tempted to keep one for himself! Petty, of course, has long been identified for his affinity to Rickenbacker guitars. This semi-hollow model 360 in classic fireglow is appointed with two pickups, stereo output, a bound body, rosewood fingerboard, triangular pearloid fret markers and Schaller tuning heads. Beautifully signed in silver felt tip marker, the brand new guitar has been in its original hard-shell, plush case since 1999.
