Thomas Wolfe 1900-1938 American novelist best know for his first novel Look Homeward, Angel 1929 and You, Can't Go Home Again. Rare I. S.P. 7in x 9in, 11in x 14in with mount, b/w, showing Wolfe in a pensive mood with his chin resting on his fist. Inscribed on the mount: "For Whitney Danow with friendship and thanks, Tom Wolfe" Danow was Director of Advertising for Scribners. Mount is cracked in a few places, partially restored, with crack crossing one letter in "For" in inscription. Two negligible corner chips at bottom of mount.
