William Kellum Boltz served as Captain of Company H, 151st Pennsylvania Volunteers. At Gettysburg, the 151st slowed the Confederate attack on McPherson Ridge, then made a stand behind a barricade of rails near the Seminary. Pushed off the Seminary Ridge line, the Federals retreated through town to the safety of Cemetery Hill.
