D.S. as President, 1p. folio, Washington, Aug. 10, 1802, a scallop-top ship's paper for the Sloop Resolution of New York , 76 tons with a crew of six men. Also signed by Secretary of State and future President James Madison. Top is attractively and carefully hand-colored, usual folds. Signatures just a tad light but completely legible.
