Description:

THOMAS A. EDISONImportant A.L.S. "E" at conclusion and "Edison" twice in text, 1p. 8vo., [n.p. but no doubt his West Orange, New Jersey plant], Sept. 5, 1922, in pencil to Wolnitzy, in full: "Wolnitzy, I have two Records both same tunes on Victor & Edison. One is a Banjo one a song both sung by Elizabeth Spencer. These with 2 or 3 of good Edison Records could be used by your Canvassers. Paullin will let you listen see what you think of the 2 E". Consumed with the success of the Victor Record Company, Edison was understandably eager to demonstrate the superiority of his recordings. Two minor tape remnants at left edge, otherwise very good condition.
