Description:

THIRD REICH IDEOLOGICAL LITERATURE
Good group of six Third Reich-era books, all containing elements of NSDAP ideology, includes: "Soldatenglaube Soldatenehre" ("Soldier's Faith, Soldier's Honor"), by Matthes Ziegler (Berlin: Nordland-Verlag), 1939, 72pp. 8vo., published with the intent of instilling German soldiers with the necessary national-socialist ideology. The book contains numerous oaths to be taken by Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS soldiers, sayings from Hitler and other Nazi leaders, and descriptions of the duties expected of a German soldier. A presentation card from Gauleiter Gustav Simon is present inside the front cover. Very good. WITH: "Das Partei-programm: Wesen, Brundsatze und Ziele der NSDAP" ("The Party Program: The Nature, Principles, and Objectives of the NSDAP"), by Alfred Rosenberg (Munich: Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Franz Eher Nachf.), 1942, 64pp. 8vo., bears minor toning, else very good. WITH: "Gold oder Blut" ("Gold or Blood"), by Otto Bangert (Munich: Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Franz Eher Nachf.), 1927, 147pp. 8vo., a nationalist text explaining Germany's economic strife through conspiracy theories and anti-Semitism. Some bumping, else very good. WITH: "Der Norden Sonderlehrgang" ("Special Training for the North"), (Breslau: Verlag Ferdinand Hirt), 220pp. 8vo., an educational publication printed for Wehmacht soldiers, on the topic of Scandinavian history and geography. Minor foxing, minor splitting at the spine, else very good. WITH: "Volk und Wissen: Feldherrntum und Kriegskunst der Germanen" ("People and Knowledge: Field Commanders and the Art of War of the Germans"), by Dr. Gustav Neckel (Berlin: Brehm Verlag), 1934, 32pp. 8vo., a brief and propagandistic examination of warfare in German history. Very good. WITH: "Hamburg im Dritten Reich: Die Neugestaltung der Schule" ("Hamburg in the Third Reich: The Redesign of the School"), (Hamburg: Lutcke & Wulff), 1935, 106pp. 8vo., a booklet examining the new role of the educational system within the Third Reich. Bears stamps of the University of Hamburg on the cover and title page. Very good. Six pieces.
