THEODORE J. "DUTCH" VAN KIRK
(b. 1921) American Army Air Corps officer, navigator of the Enola Gay during its mission to Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Fine S.P. 10" x 8" color, a reprint showing the famed B-29 bomber Enola Gay on the runway, with a superb lengthy note in blue marker by Van Kirk at top: "The first atomic bomb was dropped from 30,600 ft. It exploded 43 seconds late, about 3800 feet above the ground. The city of Hiroshima was devastated. Millions of lives, both Allied and Japanese were saved. Days later the war ended and the killing stopped. Dutch Van Kirk Navigator Enola Gay Hiroshima - 6 Aug. 1945". Fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
