THE EVACUATION OF ACQUIA CREEK
A scarce albumen photograph taken by Timothy H. O'Sullivan and printed by Alexander Gardner, measures 10" x 7" (sight), and titled "Evacuation of Acquia Creek", a view of the harbor at Chancellorsville, Va. in June 1863. The Union Army had supply base under the Acquia Creek under Gen. Joseph Hooker at the time. This photo was printed by Gardner for his book Photographic Sketchbook of the War. Wear to corners, a small tear at top, a few wrinkles and generally a bit fragile as expected, still very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
