Susan B. Anthony A fine grouping of material, including the last two pages of an A.L.S. 8vo., signed with initials " S.B.A." in which Anthony praises a colleague: "...Yours was a supreme effort - and you accomplished it... I have always believed in your powers to plan and execute ever since the Nebraska Campaign of 1882 - And I have loved you not only for your power to do - but for your very self- from my very first meeting you...." ., a draft reply, 19 lines, unsigned, o the verso of a letter to her: '. . I have sent it to Lucy [Stone?] and with your last... [stay] at home this war & getting yourself in spirit & [?] well in hand...." ; and an A.L. S. of Anthony's father to her mother, 3pp 8vo., St. Louis, Dec. 27, 1868: "...got the old machine to sew very well, but the Howe machine is a humbug... you have become as a part of myself and absolutely necessary to my existence. I can not get along without you...." Three items, generally good condition.
