Description:

BLAZE STARR (1932 - 2015) Famous nightclub dancer and mistress of Louisiana Governor Earl Long. Revealing A.L.S. 1p. 4to., [n.p., n.d.] to a friend. Starr tells of a tryst with President John F. Kennedy in the White House Lincoln bedroom. In part: "I met him in a club I worked in D.C. in 1952...I told J.F.K. about my fantasy with the Lincoln bedroom. He said let's go. Jackie was away on a cruise. After about an hour J.F.K. had to leave for a meeting..." Starr also mentions her belief that she saw what seemed to be Lincoln's ghost in the room, and concludes her letter: "...as we were leaving I turned and jokingly said, thank you President Lincoln for the use of your bed room..." At top of letter is a semi-nude self-portrait with a large lipstick print at bottom. Fine, and particularly relevant these days. Sold with an ornately signed photo of the stripper in her prime.
