SS INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXECUTIONS IN OCCUPIED TERRITORIES
Very rare typed manuscript, 1p. 4to., [n.p., n.d., ca. 1940-42], in part: '...Within the Reich territory...b) Execution of foreign nationals: Under normal command conditions, an execution application from the State Police (headquarters) or the Commander of the Security Police to the CdS, for information to the Higher SS and Police Leader. If the Higher SS and Police Leader objects, this objection is forwarded to the Chief of the Security Police. If agreement is not reached, a report from the Chief of the Security Police to the Reichsfuhrer-SS and Police Leader. In special emergencies (serious terrorist attacks, imminent enemy occupation, communications disruptions of any kind, etc.): Application to the Higher SS and Police Leader, who decides alone. If he is prevented from issuing orders, order is to be maintained by the Commander of the Security Police, the Inspector of the Security Police and the S.D., or, depending on the circumstances, by the heads of the state police stations on their own responsibility. In all cases, after the state of emergency has been resolved, the Chief of the Security Police must be informed in detail of the measures taken. 2.) In the occupied territories, including the General Government... a) Execution of Germans: as in 1 a)...b) Execution of foreign nationals: application to the Higher 66th and Police Leader, for information to the Chief of the Security Police and the SD...' Fine condition. This set of rules may have been typed for reference or file purposes, or may have been a draft of a final order. Its original source is unknown, though it originates from the holdings of famous Nazi hunter and Holocaust researcher Mark Gould who interviewed Bernard Frank in 2010.
