Description:

SS DAGGER WITH SCABBARD
Fine condition, very desirable SS dagger marked 'RZM 120/34', with scabbard. This early dagger is a very desirable type with only light wear. The blade is excellent, with only normal running marks and the 'Meine Ehre heist Treue' etching stil retains much of its original darkness. The reverse of the blade is marked 'SS 120/34 RZM', an early type of RZM mark. This is a very sought-after mark, though the maker is unclear; some attribute Pack as the maker. The upper and lower crossguards are nickel silver, with an attractive patina, and the grip's eagle and SS button are undamaged and excellent. The black grip has some scratches which are not obnoxious, and no cracks or other substantial damage. The blade meets the crossguard with a perfect fit. The scabbard may be a replacement as it bears chrome fittings, but its fit with the the dagger is absolutely perfect. The condition of the scabbard is near mint, with no dents and only a tiny nick near the bottom. All screws remain in place. A very desirable transitional dagger, in overall fine condition.
