Good lot of five signed documents, all executed by prominent governmental, judicial and scientific personages of the Soviet Union, includes: ANDREY VYSHINSKY (1883-1854) Soviet state prosecutor at Stalin''s Moscow show trials and at Nuremberg, also served as Foreign Minister. Typed D.S. in Cyrillic, 1p. 8vo., [n.p., n.d.], untranslated, signed by Vyshinsky at the conclusion in blue indelible pencil. Folds, else very good. WITH: VALERIAN KUYBYSHEV (1888-1935) Bolshevik revolutionary and Politburo member, principal economic advisor to Stalin as Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the National Economy. Autograph D.S. in Cyrillic, 1p. oblong 4to., [n.p.] Aug. 24, 1926, an untranslated telegram, signed by Kuybyshev at the conclusion in violet ink. Mounted to another sheet, with torn file holes at the left margin, else very good. WITH: ROSLIA ZEMLYACHKA (1876-1947) Bolshevik revolutionary and politician, the first woman to receive the Order of the Red Banner. Along with Bela Kun, notorious for organizing the Red Terror in the Crimea against former Czarist soldiers. Typed D.S. in Cyrillic, 1p. oblong 8vo., Moscow, Sep. 27, 1940, untranslated, signed at the conclusion by Zemlyachka in blue indelible pencil. Shows torn file holes at the left margin, else very good. WITH: NIKOLAI SEMASHKO (1874-1949) People''s Commissar of Public Health, laid the foundation for the Soviet public health system. Typed D.S. in Cyrillic, 1p. 6 3/4" x 8", Moscow, March 9, 1921, untranslated, signed by Semashko in red ink at the conclusion, with two additional individuals countersigning. Mounted to a second sheet of paper, with folds and chips to the edges overall, else very good. WITH: EVGENY PATON (1870-1953) Ukrainian ngineer and welding pioneer, supervised the design and construction of automated welding equipment used to manufacture tanks, munitions and other military hardware during World War II. Typed D.S. in Cyrillic, 2pp. 4to., Kiev, Feb. 13, 1948, untranslated but on the subject of reparations from Germany. Paton signs at the conclusion in violet ink. Shows folds and file holes at the left edge, else very good. Five pieces.
