Description:

Good group of photos, medals and a "soldbuch" related to the service of Kurt Fuchs of "2. Kompanie Panzer-Nachrichten-Abteilung 16", a signals and communication battalion. Includes: Fuchs' replacement "soldbuch", 24pp. 12mo., issued May 13, 1943 and featuring his identification photo stapled inside the front cover, with his signature on the second page. The soldbuch indicates the Fuchs was originally part of a tank destroyer regiment, but later transferred to the signals battalion. It also indicates that he spent some time in a military hospital, recovering from a bout of malaria. Shows expected wear and minor soiling overall, else very good. WITH: an Eastern Front Medal with ribbon and presentation envelope, in very good to fine condition, as well as a Wound Badge in Black, showing minor wear, else very good. WITH: 24 photos (one postwar printed and one duplicate), most 5" x 3 1/2" and smaller, with sixteen views of panzers in action, including views of recovery vehicles and destroyed tanks, all on the Eastern Front, and a further eight depicting panzer crewmen in various scenes. Some have been removed from an album, all showing minor wear and soiling, else very good. Should be seen.
