SIEGE OF PARIS RATION CARD
"Carte de Subsistance" issued to Parisian Mr. Lambert living in the 1st Arrondisement during the September 19, 1870 – January 28, 1871 Siege of Paris by forces under Wilhelm I during the Franco-Prussian War, 1p. folio, bearing coupons for the period Jan. 26 - March 1, 1871 and a stamped signature of the Mayor of Paris, each coupon allowed the owner a certain ration. This card apparently was for meat from butcher Mr. Jung. Split horizontally, soled and some stains, still good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas), DHL or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
