(1874 - 1951) Russian conductor, founder of a Paris music publishing house for Russian music. Nice content T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Boston, Nov. 13, 1939, on letterhead of the Boston Symphony Orchestra to George S. McManus. In part: "...It was a pleasure to hear from you but a great disappointment to learn that you have left for the West Coast...Tomorrow we are holding the annual meeting of the Friends of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. I want to thank you for your kind contribution...I should also like to hope that you may come to the Berkshire Festival next summer...". Signed with a huge, bold signature. Nicely matted with the cover of a CD recording of Koussevitsy's versions of Schubert, Mendelssohn and Schumann. Fine.
