898. MAURICE SENDAK (b. 1928) American author and illustrator of children's books, including Where the Wild Things Are. A charming and desirable Sendak piece, being an original ink drawing of one of his Wild Things, executed on an 8" x 10" sheet. At top left, Sendak adds a word bubble "Boo!", and at bottom right adds: "from a Wild Thing and M. Sendak". Three light offset spots at right margin, one just grazing last name of signature, otherwise very good condition, and certainly a wonderful piece for display. $400 - 600
