Rare intelligence report issued by Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force, Office of Assistant Chief of Staff, marked "SECRET" and numbered, a weekly report issued for the week ending Feb. 4, 1945. The approx. 30pp. legal folio printing, issued under the name of Gen. K. W. D. Strong, includes three detailed situation maps of the "Western Front Vosges Sector", "Eastern Front" (a large, fold-out map), and "Western Front Eifel Sector". The text includes mention of the situation on both Eastern and Western fronts, with specific detail on the stubborn German defense west of the Siegfried Line. The Russian advance on Berlin and the situation in Italy is also examined in general, and in detail with enemy strenghts and capabilities examined. Studies are also made of German ammunition shortages, the Colmar Bridgehead, and the weather outlook. The air strengths of the two adversaries is examined, and reports of air attacks on shipping at Antwerp and German naval activity are also provided. Covers are worn and starting to separate, contents are very good to fine. Excellent research material!
