Maybe the little girls are somewhat helpful. That's great and hurray for little girls. The two of us [Simone de Beauvoir?] and Arlette [his adopted daughter] went to Austria. We had six days of rain...Ely met us at Lucerne and we went back to Paris by car. It was great. I just left Arlette who was nervous. But your mother is very well...The Beaver [Beauvoir] and I are leaving tomorrow for Florence and Rome...Goodbye my little Gerald. Write to me, I will answer..." Near fine, matted with a photo and simply framed. $700-900
