SARATOGA PRISONERS Manuscript D.S., 1p. oblong legal folio, Fredrick Town, Feb. 24, 1781, a return detailing the "Present State of the British Troops of Convention" listing the total number of prisoners including officers and men totaling 935 men. Underneath the general return is a breakdown of losses since February 4, 1781 which totaled 24 due to death or desertion. This group of prisoners included members of the 9th, 10th, 21st, 24th, 47th, Royal Artillery and a company of Canadians. Usual folds, otherwise very good.$400-500
