Description:

SANDRA GOOD
(b. 1944) A long-time member of the Manson Family and a close friend of Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme. Good was in jail with Mary Brunner for attempting to use stolen credit cards when the Tate/La Bianca murders took place but was arrested at Spahn Ranch during the August 16th raid. In 1975 Good was sentenced to 15 years for sending death threats and was paroled in 1985. A.L.S. 'Blue' (her ‘Family' name), 10pp. 4to., [n.p.] July 2, to CHARLES MANSON. In part: '...I was wondering how your mom turned out the way she did when your grandmom was so different...your mom wasn't from a broken family was she? And she had a good moral upbringing so how come she ended up how she did?...A black gal just asked me if we all was your whores. Did you make love to all of us etc. I told her we weren't whores and that it was like a marriage and sex wasn't a big thing - She had asked if I was your main woman. I said no - She said was Red - Said the Earth. She said what? I laughed...the warden really do treat us bad. I was thinking all along it was fear, jealousy, etc. - that they sensed we were special people...Article came out in a local paper about Red and someone wrote the paper and said why do you write about that little tramp - She slept with all the guys...So I guess the nice country folk of West Va view us as syphletic tramps, whores etc...It makes me mad to be viewed as scum because of the lies people hold in their heads...I don't like D.W. slaming doors in my face, hanging up the phone on me and giving me no consideration when he gives others privileges...It's the same with Red...and I think her stomach problems are because she has to hold in the anger and frustration...You said 'I've been to the bottom of the pecking order all my life - Just like he (Bucky) is now. That's why he's fat - he's being made to eat it.' What do you mean eat it - Eat what?Do you think he feels rejected by his mom, dad etc. He's got a good life and as he gets older I'll explain to him more why we are in prison...I miss Red...gonna tell the Regional guys when they come that they gotta liten up on her...I'm listening to Abbey Road - reminds me of desert when we got busted...I should count my blessings. I eat good...see fire flys, am in good health...'. Lightly toned all over, else fine.
