Description:

(b. 1944) Long-time member of the Manson Family and a close friend of Lynette ""Squeaky"" Fromme. Good was in jail with Mary Brunner for attempting to use stolen credit cards when the Tate/La Bianca murders took place, but was arrested at Spahn Ranch during the August 16th raid. In 1975 Good was sentenced to 15 years for sending death threats, and was paroled in 1985. Incredible A.L.S. 'Blue' penned within a greeting card reading 'On Father's Day WITH LOVE', 4pp. 8vo., sent from prison on Terminal Island, June 7, 1977 to CHARLES MANSON at Vacaville, Ca. As one would expect, the card bears maudlin printed sentiment, closing: 'Happy Father's Day' to which Good signs 'LOVE BLUE I wish I could write a letter!!!!' She adds a note 'Hey Mr. George', probably intended for a prison guard, censor, or administrator: '...I got your letter. I would like very much to converse with Charlie. In fact, he and Lyn [Lynette Fromme] are the only humans I trust...I've learned 1 thing for sure Everyone LIES...33 years of experience has shown them to be the only trustworthy humans...at least let Red & C [Manson] write...or do you like it that we are apart...' With transmittal envelope which has been 'decorated', probably by Manson, with three swastikas and a Star of David. Fine. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.
