Description:

SANDRA GOOD (b. 1944) Long-time member of the Manson Family and a close friend of Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme. Good was in jail with Mary Brunner for attempting to use stolen credit cards when the Tate/La Bianca murders took place, but was arrested at Spahn Ranch during the August 16th raid. In 1975 Good was sentenced to 15 years for sending death threats, and was paroled in 1985. A.L.S. with her "family" name "Blue" and with transmittal envelope signed "Sandra Good" in return address, 5pp. legal folio, [in prison in Aldrson, WV, Nov. 20, 1980] to CHARLES MANSON (1934-2017). A lengthy and chatty letter in which Good complains about patches which she had made for Manson being missing from the mail. She also describes a discussion with a nun who "served Caesar not Christ" and offered her "double talk...She's read (I'm sure) Tex [Watson's] and Susan's [Atkins'] books...I didn't tell her about the trip of Tex & Susan. If Tex & Susan say you're a deceiver & Satan possessed then she has all that in her head...Bucky is almost 12 and he'll be going out with girls & I didn't think that the people that have Bucky have the same morals as we do..." She complains bitterly of being prohibited from calling Manson and mentions her sister as well. Very good. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote "Manson in His Own Words" and during their collaboration, Manson gave Emmons some of his personal correspondence.
