SANDRA GOOD WRITES TO CHARLES MANSON ABOUT HITLER
(b. 1944) A long-time member of the Manson Family and a close friend of Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme. Good was in jail with Mary Brunner for attempting to use stolen credit cards when the Tate/La Bianca murders took place but was arrested at Spahn Ranch during the August 16th raid. In 1975 Good was sentenced to 15 years for sending death threats and was paroled in 1985. Superb content A.L.S. 'Blue', 9pp. 8vo., Alderson, [n.d.], to Charles Manson mentioning Hitler, Nazi's, racism, and other topics. In part: '...I was called into the wardens office...[he] told me that our writing had been reinstated. That was a good day...Two nights ago I was thinking about Hitler and reading Albert Speer's diary he wrote while in Spandau prison. He was Hitler's architect. At Nuremburg Trials Speer spoke badly of Hitler and as time went on he saw Hitler in a bad light. I picked up Mein Kampf again, I'm on page 120, been reading it for over a year. I got real excited by his thoughts. The next evening, I was talking to my next-door neighbor and it came out that her first husband is a Nazi and her little 11 year old son loves Hitler...her husband remembered Hitler speaking when he was 5 years old...he has instilled his beliefs into the little boy...I do understand realities more than I let on. I just choose to be intolerable and judgmental. Things in me react to people who are spoiled...[I] just express anger and hate in simple ways. I can talk like what they call a 'bigot' 'red neck'...and I enjoy it. I want to be the bad guy and I'm working on letting my true hate show. It's a slow process getting the nerve to drop my nice face...By next year I may have a whole new asshole personality...I do feel a deep bitterness creeping upon me and a genuine dislike for people. Its like the blacks have cause me a lot of misery by their actual deeds...by their loud rude ways...' and much more. Accompanied by signed envelope. Fine condition. From a grouping of Manson's letters in the estate of his biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.
