SANDRA GOOD SENDS CHARLES MANSON AN EASTER CARD
SANDRA GOOD (b.1944) Long-time member of the Manson Family and a close friend of Lynette ‘Squeaky' Fromme. Good was in jail with Mary Brunner for attempting to use stolen credit cards when the Tate-Labianca murders took place, but was arrested at Spahn Ranch during the August 16th raid. In 1975 Good was sentenced to 15 years for sending death threats, and was paroled in 1985. Lengthy A.L. (unsigned), 4pp. 8vo., [Oakland, Apr. 16, 1979], to CHARLES MANSON, in very small part: ‘…Can you play basketball where you are now? And can you go outside? Lyn [Lynnette ‘Sqeaky' Fromme] left for Alderson Friday just two days ago, I'm still in the hole…I been down now for over a month & am getting used to it…One of the electric lawn mowers bangs into a little pine tree shrub that's been trying to grow & tore off a branch & dug into the bark & sap is running…the landscaper guy…he instills no sensitivity…I heard that Fatherman is working for the dept of water & is involved in those nuclear power plant marches…'. Good then discusses oil production, China's role in it and ‘…those Arab pricks…'. She goes on: ‘…I got a sister who cropped up. I never really knew her. She married a cop who beat her….I'm trying to see the psychology or the is [sic] of all this…She can write me about her garden, some for me and some for Red [Fromme]…She wants to send an ex-Biker turned Jesus person to visit…I wonder if we will be young and healthy-bodied & able to reproduce when we get out…'.
