SANDRA GOOD (b. 1944) Long-time member of the Manson Family and a close friend of Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme. Good was in jail with Mary Brunner for attempting to use stolen credit cards when the Tate/La Bianca murders took place, but was arrested at Spahn Ranch during the August 16th raid. In 1975 Good was sentenced to 15 years for sending death threats, and was paroled in 1985. Lengthy T.L.S. "Blue" with signature "Sandra Good" penned in return address on holograph transmittal envelope and with holograph postscript, 8pp. 4to., [Alderson, Feb. 9, 1980], to CHARLES MANSON. In small part: "...I won't be seeing Red [Lynette Fromme] for a while - She has to go in the control unit...Mr. Williams is the warden that you wrote the letter to...[he] didn't understand it...Enclosed is...a picture Bucky [Good's son, Ivan S. Pugh] drew for me...we sent him some fine Christmas presents and I had some holly sent to Holly... (Pat Friedman)...I got a nice thank you letter from Holly...Bucky reads Spider man comic books and some guy sent Red some to check out...they are heavy programming...There is subtle porno in it too...[Lynette Fromme] will share with Sarah Moore [Sarah Jane Moore, who, like Fromme, attempted to murder President Gerald Ford]...the dyke is a member of the george jackson brigade...she was with us in Davis Hall when we were locked up there...She became friends with this phony money bitch who called herself a muslim..." Good also encloses a transcript of Fromme's appeal of her prison violatiosn which led to her stint in segregation. Also present is the drawing by Good's son, Ivan S. Pugh (b. 1969). Various men have been named as the father, most notably Joel Pugh (1940–1969), who was found dead in a London hotel room under suspicious circumstances. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote "Manson in His Own Words" and during their collaboration, Manson gave Emmons some of his personal correspondence.
