SABELLI SIGNED PHOTO OF "ROMA" TAKE-OFF LOCATION Excellent S.P. 42" x 7 3/4" b/w, a panoramic view of the long beach at Old Orchard, Maine, inscribed and signed by Sabelli and also inscribed by the photographer to Sabelli, Sep. 18, 1928. Two days later, Sabelli, co-pilot Roger Williams and a few passengers would take-off from this beach on the "Roma"on their abortive attempt to fly nonstop to Rome. It was during this flight that Sabelli carried the first "commercial" passenger and made the first two-way radio transmission from an aircraft, successfully communicating with Marconi in London. Some short tears at extreme left and right margins, else very good.$200-300
