RUSSIAN MILITARY HEROES
Presentation document, 4pp. 16mo., untranslated but a military presentation of some type with a small pin, boldly signed by PAVEL BATOV (1897-1985) who led the 65th Army during Stalingrad counteroffensive and headed Warsaw Pact troops postwar; also signed by Hero of the Soviet Union, fighter ace ALEXEI MARESYEV (1916-2002) who scored 11 victories, was shot down in winter, breaking both legs. After 18 days of foraging on his hands and knees, he was rescued by partisans and sent to a hospital where both legs were amputated. Undeterred, Maresyev obtained artificial legs, learned to walk and eventually returned to the skies, scoring seven additional victories. Very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry.
