Description:

1080. HELENA RUBINSTEIN (1870 - 1965) American cosmetics marketer and manufacturer, one of America's first female business magnates and founder of the firm which yet bears her name. A nice lot of three A.L.S. and three T.L.S., signed "H. Gourielli" or "H.G.", 1955-1964, all to Miss A. Blaisdell, head of publicity for her company and a trusted friend. Includes a T.L.S. Paris, July 29, 1955 on company letterhead, in part: "...Thank you for the clippings...it would be wonderful if our name was mentioned more often and more conspicuous[ly]. I know if does not depend on you...but lots of people must read these texts and not know they are about us...I particularly liked the article 'Make-up for the beach can be waterproofed'. We should have lots...". Much more referring to her corporation and jet-set lifestyle. Overall very good to fine, six pieces. $200 - 300
