ROOSEVELT T.L.S. as President on White House letterhead, 1p. 4to., Washington, June 11, 1943, to his lady friend Anne Webb of Colorado, in part: "...The enclosed just has come to me - and apparently the status of 'Sergeant Jones' is now back with the local Selective Service Board...I do wish you could have been with me at Hyde Park a week ago...I drove around your place...I am going home next week for a visit from the Queen of the Netherlands and again for a visit from the Norwegians about the first of July....I may not take another trip to the North Pole...on twenty-four hours' notice!...". Roosevelt adds "Personal" at top. With the original transmittal envelope, handsomely matted and framed. Fine condition, unexamined out of frame. $700 - 900
