RONALD REAGAN
Fine D.S., as Governor, a printed Christmas card measuring 6" x 4" with the Governor's gold stamp at top, sending greetings from Reagan and Nancy and signing with his childhood nickname, "Dutch". Presented on two other cards with margins exposed, gold and velvet. Reagan signs at top left in bright red ink to the widow of Peter MacArthur, a crippled Scottish ex-vaudevillian who was radio manager of WOC in Davenport, Iowa. In 1932, MacArthur gave Reagan his first job in radio broadcasting when he allowed the actor to broadcast a University of Iowa football game. This successful first broadcast turned into three more for which Reagan was paid $10.00 each, and culminated in MacArthur finding him a job at the station in early 1933. Reagan kept in touch with MacArthur's widow, who he calls "Hup", long after her husband's death. In full: "Dear Hup Believe it or not it is that time again - Love Dutch". Fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
