Roman Silver Denarius A silver denarius coin from the reign of RomanEmperor Tiberius and the crucifixion of Jesus, about 35 A.D. with Tiberius' bust shown on the obverse and the reverse showing a seated woman with an olive branch and scepter, the legend reading "Pontif Maxim". This is likely an example of the "Tribute Penny", the coin mention by Jesus in the New Testamant of which he recommended: "... Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's...' (Mark 12:14-17) Very good.
