Robert Ould 1820-1881) Confederate Chief of the Bure of Exchange of Prisoners who negotiated with Washington to set terms for prisoner exchanges, charged with treason by Stanton at war's end. Scarce, good content A.L.S. Ould and Carrington , 2pp. 4to., [n.p., n.d. but post-war] to the President of the United States. Ould requests clemency for client Robert Elsom, fined E5,000 and sentenced to two years in prison, claiming that Elsom had not abused his office as he had not yet taken the position.
