Description:

Rick James Stage-Worn Jumpsuit
Though James' career hit the high water mark in 1981 with the release of the funk anthem, "Super Freak," the gifted musician's life was rife with substance abuse, violence towards women, weapons possession charges; all contributing to jail terms and his premature death in 2004 at the age of 56. This turquoise jumpsuit, appointed with several hundred rhinestones and studs with gold piping, shows heavy wear, particularly on the sleeves. Also included, two very ornately appointed leather, knee-high, high-heeled boots, one worn by James, the second matching boot worn by another band member. Notarized consignor's LOA
