RICHARD HILDEBRANDT
(1897 - 1952) SS-Obergruppenführer and chief of the SS Office of Race and Resettlement. As a war criminal he was found guilty of kidnapping of alien children, forcible abortions, taking away infants of Eastern workers, forced evacuation and resettlement, utilization of enemy nationals as slave labor, euthanasia, and a host of other charges. Turned over to the Poles, who quickly executed him. D.S., 2pp large 4to., Race and Resettlement Office, Berlin, June 23, 1943, a recommendation for a promotion for SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Alfred Buchs who had worked at the SS R.U.S. offices in central and southern Russia. Docketed, file holes, overall very good.
