(Revolutionary War Officer's Letter) Fine content Revolutionary War officei's letter, 3 pp. 4to., Roxbury, Jan. 11, 1779 Col. Daniel Lyman writes his friend and fellow patriot Peter Colt. In part: General Heath expects to go forward to join the army... I shall attend him in preference to continuing with General Gates. . 10 or 12 sail vessels none larger than 14 guns is committing the most wanton barbarities on the persons and properties... destroying everything that comes in his way. Lyman also adds some friendly content and describes the death of a friend in an accidental shooting. Very good.
