Measuring approximately 12" x 15", this map depicts lower New England as it appeared during the British blockade of the coast were French Admiral de Ternay was bottled up. Printed by Bew, London by Act of Parliament Nov. 30, 1780. The map is boldly entitled: "An Accurate Map of Rhode Island, part of Connecticut and Massachusetts, showing Admiral Arbuthnot's Station in Blocking up Admiral Ternay".
