An incredibly rare find, a lot of two American Brigadier General's epaulettes from the Revolutionary War, includes: Silver strap epaulette, 6 x 1.5 in., constructed of a woolen backing and embroidered with fine silver bullion, bearing a singular button hole towards one end. The other end bears 2.25 in. silver fringe, roughly .25" in diameter and constructed from thick coiled bullion, connected to a sequin-covered crescent. A six-pointed star is stitched on to the strap, measuring approx. 1.25 x 1 in., also constructed with a woolen backing and embroidered with bullion and sequins. Very good condition. WITH: Gold strap epaulette, 6 x 1.75 in., constructed of a woolen backing and embroidered with fine gold bullion, bearing a singular button hole towards one end. The other end bears gold fringe, roughly .25" in diameter and constructed from thick coiled bullion, connected to a sequin-covered crescent. An eight-pointed star is stitched on top of the epaulette, measuring approx. 1.625 x 1.5 in., constructed with a leather backing and embroidered with bullion and sequins. The reverse bears a woolen strap, 6 x 1 in., stitched towards the fringe and running the length of the epaulette, also bearing a singular button at the far end. The star bears a minor .25" split and has come slightly unstitched at one end, with some loss to the sequins thereat, else very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
