Description:

(1904 - 1942) "The Hangman", Nazi head of the dreaded SS and architect of the "Final Solution", his assassination in Prague caused severe reprisal actions, including the destruction of Lidice and murder of many of its inhabitants. HEYDRICH TAKES ACTION AGAINST HOMOSEXUALS Fine content war-date T.L.S. "Your Heydrich" on "Der Chef der Sicherheitspolizei" letterhead, 1p. large 4to., Berlin, July 7, 1939 to KARL FRANK (1898–1946), SS-Obergruppenführer who would succeed Heydrich Bohemia & Moravia and who would be executed for his role in organizing the massacres of the people of Lidice and Ležáky. In part: "...I submit to you...a copy of an overall report on the momentous nature of the actions against the homosexual circles within the Sudetengau of the NSDAP. This report probably also best gives a precise overview of Dr. Suchy on homosexuality...Based on the interrogation Dr. Suchy is to be regarded as a child molester, and to the present day he acknowledged what he had done, that he participated homosexually in many cases until 1937 with many partners...despite Gauleiter Henlein already speaking up about it...Dr. Suchy must be dismissed...Dr. Brandt, who was arrested on July 6, 1939, has also confessed to have had homosexual acts with multiple persons repeatedly...including intercourse between the thighs...all measures in this case will be completed with knowledge and support of the Gauleiter..." Recto professionally silked mending a tear from right margin into text, some toning at left margin, else very good. Suchy, a school teacher and prominent pro-Nazi Sudeten German, was apparently executed shortly after this letter was written.
