Description:

'Reichluftschutbund' ('Air Raid Service') Subordinate's Dagger, 1st Model by Solingen, 8.5 in. blade, 14 in. overall. Blade in fine condition with no dents or scratches, and bears the 'Weyersburg Solingen' mark at the ricasso. The nickel fittings are in good condition throughout. The pommel shows only slight surface wear. The crossguard displays the art deco eagle in the center having stubby wings and clutching a plain wreath with a mobile swastika within. The crossguard extends outward with boldly-cut lined surfaces on either side, and it too is in very good condition. The tapered ebony-colored wood grip is fine and bears the first style RLB emblem with acceptable enameling, much of the silvering worn. The scabbard is straight with some dents though the paint is scraped. A leather and metal 'OLC' hanger is also present. A good example of this rather rare dagger.
