(1910 - 1998) American film and stage comedian, creator of Clem adiddlehopper and Freddie the Freeloader. T.L.S. on his personal letterhead, 1p. 8vo., [Los Angeles], Feb. 26, 1957, to a well-wisher likely upon the death of his son Richard by leukemia, in part: "...The seconds, as they tick away, seem to add confusion when told of the tragic news...At first we felt useless...just another Mother and Father asking for help. Then came the kindness of unsolicited friends like you, whose concern was unbeknown to us...friends who have gone beyond their station of purpose...Knowing you are concerned is proof that God created His own likeness in man...". Signed: "Mr. and Mrs. Red Skelton", with original envelope.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
