RED FLAG OF THE HUANGMA UPRISING CREATING THE RED ARMY, AND DONGJIANG MEMORIAL MEDAL
Two historic relics from the earliest days of the Chinese Communist Party, includes: a 24" x 17 1/2" triangular section of a red flag purportedly carried during the Huangma Uprising, mounted with a photograph of the battle scene to a hand-lettered mount ca. 1965. The description, in Chinese and au unknown dialect, reads: "From November 1927 to November 1929, Comrades Wu Guangjie, Pan Zhongru and Dai Kejie led the peasant uprising in Hubei province, Huangan and Macheng, Comrades Zhou Weiyan, Qi Dewei, Xu Qixu, and Jiang Jingtang led the peasants uprising in Henan province Gaocheng, Anhui Province Liuan and Huodi. They founded the Red Army and Revolutionary government, later developed into Eyuwan Revolution base. This flag was used during Huangma Uprising at Huangan County, Qiliping village." Sold with a Dongjiang Riot Medal and ribbon, issued in 1927, with all three items set in a black frame. The Dongjiang Riot is heralded as one of the most important armed revolutions in modern Chinese history. It was the start of the split-up between the Kuomintang and the Chinese Communist Party bringing on the Chinese civil war.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
