Description:

1102. JAMES EARL RAY T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Petros, Tenn., Aug. 8, 1988 to a Massachusetts man concerning Robert F. Kennedy's assassin, Sirhan Sirhan and abuse by the press. In part: "...In respect to the Sirhan matter, I believe it might be a mistake for me to contact him. Our cases & background or [sic, are] somewhat different, and the media people have a sly way of trying to indicate similarities in persons who have been charged with a certain type [of] offense. Of course they then use it as a profile to enhance their (the government['s]), case...Sam Donaldson had some catty remarks to say about me last April 4th, which I returned in kind my a letter a month or so later. Then their wildlife correspondent...wrote me saying there had been studies indicating persons of my background had a history of abusing animals, and wanted to interview me about the matter...". File holes at top, copy of letter to Ray stapled to verso, usual folds, otherwise fine. $100 - 150
