In part: [My father has sent] five negro men... hired to a Mr. Wells he has likewise sent three more Negro women by Mr. Hudson with Judge Gholson's Negroes who are at work on the.coal mines I should at once take possession of them. have two of the Negroe men brought directly to me... he will in all respects act precisely as if he owned the Negroes.
