Lot 1750
Description:
1750. RACE-BAITING FILM POSTER Racially insulting film poster for the film "Free, White and 21", 14" x 22, ca. 1960, showing an "innocent" white lady and a "tough" black man with handcuffs dangling from one hand, the legend reading: "Why did Greta-May scream 'God take my life'...". Interestingly, the film, meant for "Adults Only", had the theater "bailiff on duty" distribute ballots at the start of the film allowing viewers to decide the fate of the black prisoner. Over the top, to say the least...Very good. $100-150
