Nice collection of three Queen Victoria jubilee plates. Includes: a clear pressed glass plate, 9.5 in. dia., commemorating the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria's reign in 1897 and featuring a portrait of the Queen at the center with a floral pattern on the scalloped rim. No maker mark; a second clear glass Queen Victoria jubilee plate, 9.5 in. dia., showing the royal crown and crossed swords at the center with the text ‘God Save Our Queen' above and the dates of her reign on either side. A few minor chips on the bottom; and a third plate, 10.5 in. dia., made of porcelain and featuring her portrait at center with a beautiful floral pattern along the rim, reading ‘Jubilee Year Compliments of A. Stowell & Co. Victoria Dei Gratia Reg. et IMP. 1837-1887'. The base bears the maker mark for A. Stowell and has been stamped ‘11'. Very light wear. Sold with a souvenir plate, 8.75 in. dia., from the 1900 Paris World's Fair displaying a colored image of the Palace of Mines and Metallurgy, marked ‘LCB France' on the base; WITH a World War II commemorative plate, 8 in. dia., featuring the profiles of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Prime Minister Winston Churchill, the flags of their country behind them and a globe and the Statue of Liberty set between them. The maker mark for Alfred Meakin is on the base. Light chipping and soiling. Five pieces, overall very good.
