"Henry Prince", adding rank, 2pp. 8vo., "Army Pay Office", Boston, July 13, 1867 to Gen. Charles P. Kingsbury, in part: "...On the M & P roll of the Hosp. Dep. Of the Arsenal 'For 1st Reenlistment 2$ per month' stands against the Hospital steward's name. At the last payment...he had not served five years and although mustered in the same way I declined paying it on the ground that he is not entitled to it...some soldiers are mustered on your rolls for this extra pay who have not served fiver years. I...will thank you to make the proper corrections in this respect...". Some soiling, else very good. $75-100
