Signed book, O''Neill''s "Man of the House: The Life and Political Memoirs of Speaker Tip O''Neill" (New York: Random House), 1987, 387pp. 8vo., signed by O''Neill in black ink on the half-title; HUBERT HUMPHREY (1911-1978) American politician who served as the 38th Vice President of the United States under President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1965 to 1969. Signed and inscribed book, "A Man for All People", by Ralph G. Martin (New York: Grosset and Dunlap), 1968, 186pp. 4to. Humphrey executes his signature in black ink on the front flyleaf, adding the inscription: "To Michael H. Malin with best wishes"; JIMMY CARTER (b. 1924) American activist and 39th President of the United States, serving from 1977 until 1981. Signed book, Carter''s "Living Faith" (New York: Times Books), 257pp. 8vo. Carter signs on the front flyleaf in black ink; NANCY REAGAN (1921-2016) First Lady, wife of Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States. Signed and inscribed book, her memoir "Nancy" (New York: William Morrow and Company, Inc.), 1980, 219pp. 8vo. Reagan signs on the front flyleaf in black ink, adding a transmittal inscription; and HENRY B. CARRINGTON (1824-1912) Historian, writer, and U.S. Army officer active during the Civil War and Indian Wars. Signed and inscribed book, Carrington''s "Washington the Soldier" (New York: Charles Scribner''s Sons), 1899, 431pp. 8vo. Carrignton signs with rank on a card tipped to the front flyleaf, adding an extensive inscription to a fellow soldier, Sgt. W.H. Armstrong. Also present with this book is a T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Hyde Park, Oct. 9, 1911, also to Armstrong, thanking him for the gift of a book and transmitting the book presented here in exchange. All are very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
