Bold signature in blue ink on a 1988 presidential campaign brochure, also signed by his running mate, LLOYD BENTSEN (1921-2006), and a third unidentified individual. In fine condition. WITH: WALTER MONDALE (b. 1928) Vice-president to Jimmy Carter and Democratic nominee in the 1984 presidential election. Signature in black ink on a 1p. 8vo., campaign flyer, also signed by GERALDINE FERRARO (1935-2011), the first female vice-presidential candidate representing a major American political party. Fine. WITH: GEORGE MCGOVERN (1922-2012) 1972 Democratic presidential nominee who lost to Richard Nixon in one of the biggest landslide in U.S. History. Signature in blue ink on the cover of the July 24, 1972 issue of TIME Magazine, showing McGovern with running mate THOMAS EAGLETON (1929-2007), who also signs the cover in black ink. Shows some wear and chips to the edges, else very good. WITH: ALEXANDER M. HAIG (1924-2010) Supreme Allied Commander Europe who became Secretary of State. S.P., 8" x 10" color, an official portrait in an office setting. He signs at lower left in black ink. Fine. WITH: GEORGE P. SHULTZ (b. 1920) American economist, elder statesman, and businessman who served as Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury and Secretary of Labor. S.P., 8" x 10", an official portrait in suit and tie, signed at bottom left in black ink, with a second autopen signature at right. Signature shows some brushing, else very good. Five pieces.
