Description:

POLITICAL AGITATOR IS SENT TO A MENTAL HOSPITAL BY NAZIS
Coldly satirical D.S. on Reichs Chancellery letterhead, 1p. sm. 4to., Berlin, July 5, 1940 in which a German officer comments on the on the case of a student accused of political agitation. The officer reports that the original determination of guilt will not change, and that the victim's sister is mistaken to believe that her brother is innocent. He then somewhat coldly notes that an offer that he be confined in an asylum is far more compelling, keeping her brother from a more "serious...fatal" fate, likely in a concentration camp. Worn folds, file holes at left, else very good.
